holy banana bread, batman

It's been forever + a day since I've shared a recipe on the blog, so that's what I have to offer you today. A quick + simple recipe for the best, completely homemade banana bread! Typically, bananas don't last long enough in this house to be made into bread - but I bought extra this time, just to be sure. You can also save over-ripe bananas from going in the trash by peeling them, piling them all in a large Ziploc bag, and freezing them until you're ready for banana bread or smoothies. (We're trying to be better about not wasting food.)

After I made this on Saturday, I posted a picture on Instagram + the crowd went wild. I want to mention that I started with a recipe from one of my favorite cookbooks and made a few adjustments! This genius wasn't completely my own. It's delicious fresh out of the oven, but it's even better the next day with a mug of milk. Bonus points if you down a slice while watching the Biggest Loser.

I hope you enjoy + let me know if you decide to make it!
xoxo, Eliza

*I'm really nervous that I left out an obvious step in the directions. I've re-read it a hundred times, so if there's something glaringly wrong, please tell me!

Chocolate and pecans on banana bread - that's so genius!!! The only thing I see wrong in the recipe is the temperature of the oven....

I don't like banana bread, but I make it all the time for my mom and sister! I'll have to try this recipe out next time!

PS: the recipe is missing an oven temperature!
