Home Tour: our bedroom

Welcome!

This is certainly the biggest bedroom we've ever shared, and it took me awhile to find ways to fill the space without allowing it to look cluttered. This room isn't necessarily 'done' yet, but I wanted to go ahead and share what it's like at this point so then I can eventually look back and compare. I want to sew some pillowcases, paint our nightstands, and hang more artwork/pictures. I'd like to add a bench and change out the awful gold door knobs. That all being said, it's still one of my favorite rooms in the house!

We like to keep our room quiet + calm, simple + soothing. Each morning I do my best to remember to make the bed, and we do our best to check technology at the door.

These hatboxes have lived through so many room changes. From high school to college to apartments to Georgia...I couldn't love them any more than I already do.

What makes your bedroom feel like your own?
xoxo, Eliza

Lovely! Our room is the "sanctuary" too, and I love it that way! My favorite way to make it feel that way is a special scent diffuser (that's different than the rest of the house's scent) that makes it feel like you're entering a different world than the one you just left. We also made the rule recently that NO projects or chores were allowed inside, including laundry folding. The clutter just piled in when we did our projects in there, which doesn't really allow for a relaxing environment!

I love love love your headboard! Your bedroom is really pretty.
Our bedroom is the worst part of our house. There is pretty much nothing intersting in there. LOL

LOVE your headboard too!

I live in a studio apartment, so my bedroom is pretty much in the same space as the rest of the apartment. I will say I love my headboard too though. Its an old door my boyfriend and I found on the curb and carried home together. History!

I wanted to know where your headboard is from!
I'm looking for something similar- it's rad :)

We try to make our bedroom all about "us". Pictures of us, momentos- our favorite soothing colors etc. We want it to be our "safe haven" of sorts.

It was a little bizarre looking at the earrings you've shown- I have several of them!! :)

Love,

Looks great! Our bedroom is also very relaxing, and our flannel sheets are one of the few things I look forward to each winter.

You can get the most adorable door knobs at anthropologie-- worth taking a look at! :)
