Things are getting rather entertainment focused around this blog, aren't they? Yesterday books and today TV shows! I should note that Thomas + I typically don't watch TV during the week, thanks to our DVR. We mostly record 'our shows' so that over the weekend we can cuddle up on the sofa with tea + blankets and really indulge. And by doing it that way, we can not only skip commercials, but it's also a lot easier to get to bed at a reasonable hour Monday through Friday. It may not be the perfect system, as watching TV on the weekends means the dishes rarely get washed, but it works for us and it's become our favorite way to spend a lazy weekend.
Modern Family has a cast packed with my favorite on-screen faces. The jokes are witty, the stories amazing, and all of the episodes absolutely hilarious. Anyone with a crazy family of their own will fall head over heels in love with this show. It's a must see!
Scandal is scandalous. But seriously. I'm a huge fan of political shows and this is the best I've seen since West Wing was on years ago. It's written by Shonda Rhimes! The writing is genius, the show clips along at an incredible pace, and every episode leaves me with that Oh my God I can't believe that just happened!!!! feeling. I could talk about this show all day.
Once Upon A Time is clever, exciting, and filled with that good vs evil stuff. Not to mention the costumes, the scenery, or my love for Ginnifer Goodwin. The dwarves know Belle and Captain Hook? Jiminy Cricket is a therapist in real life? I could go on and on, so all I'm going to say is this - if you're a fairytale fan like me, this show is a must see.
The Biggest Loser. I laugh, I cry ... and I'm obsessed with the trainers. I wish this show could be on every night!
There you have it- my four favorite shows this year. It was hard to narrow down our weekly views as there are at least 6 more shows that we watch regularly. And even though Thomas can't get into it, I really like Nashville - a big thanks to Betsy for getting me hooked on that one!

My hubby and I both love the Mob Doctor and Walking Dead (of course)! Funny because I thought I would hate that show but we bought the seasons and caught up in like 2 weeks!

I love Modern Family.
I'm also a fan of HIMYM and a couple other goofy comedies.
Modern Family is one of our favorites. For other comedies we like, HIMYM and Big Bang Theory. We also watch a lot of crime dramas, Castle being my favorite.

Oh gosh, I love Modern Family and Once Upon a Time...I'm so behind in both though!!
I'm really excited that the new season of Downton Abbey has started though. Favorite show EVER. If you haven't seen it yet, start from the beginning, and prepare for life to change!
