An announcement

This plan has been in the works for months now + we're so, so happy that we can finally go ahead and move forward with this next stage of life. When Thomas graduated in May he knew he had several job offers to choose from + we felt so lucky knowing that we had some choice in what we'd be doing next + where we'd be moving.

After graduation we moved in with my sister + thought that we'd choose a job, find an apartment, and be moved by mid-July. We thought wrong. After a few weeks an offer that was originally for a job in Maryland gave him a choice in location - near DC, or Georgia. Though the plan had been to move to Northern Virginia for months at this point, I knew before he'd even finished reading the email that we were moving to Georgia. I've never spent any amount of time in Georgia, and I don't really know anything about it, but I know it's going to be our new home. I can't wait to find a house. I can't wait to move + make friends + find new restaurants + begin to make a new home. It's certainly going to be an adventure ... one that I know will come with its ups + downs ... but I'm so excited. And so, so, so ready.

Considering this upcoming month will be full of house hunting, packing, moving + getting settled you can expect to see new posts (including some from guest bloggers!) on Monday + Wednesday + Friday. I'll pop in more than that as I can :) In the meantime, let's be Instagram friends! (And we can chat on Twitter. My username is @eliza_stclair both places.) That way we can keep in touch even though I'm pretty sure I won't be so great at responding to emails or commenting on blogs this month.

Have you ever lived in Georgia? Have you ever been to Georgia before? We're going to be moving to the Augusta area. I'd love any and all information you have to share :)

My grandparents lived in Augusta when I was little, so I spent many Christmases and Thansgivings in that area. I loved it! I still go back and forth from Atlanta/Gainesville a ton, and I have no complaints about it :)

NO WAY! David's from Georgia and every time I go to visit I just love it! It's also got some sweet deals on houses right now, so it's a good time to buy!! You are seriously going to feel right at home there. I can't wait to see your new place and hear all about your new adventures!

Woo! That's so, so exciting. I've never been to Georgia either but have always wanted to go to Savannah. I think I've read too many stories based there. Anyway, I don't know when we'll bump into each other again, but I'm so happy I did in DC before your move. Enjoy it all!!

UM HI!!! I spent the first 21 years of my life in Georgia! It's a great place to live, you're going to LOVE it (just not the traffic). Augusta is a great town, I think y'all are really going to love it! I'm from Atlanta and went to college in Athens, so I don't know a ton about augusta, but let me know if I can answer any questions!
